Job enquiries may also include your availability and work experience. Newsletter sign-ups collect your email address.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time of your visit. This is used to deliver the website, keep it secure and prevent spam. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with Google.

Information about the people we support, including care plans, health-related details, schedules and family information, is kept strictly confidential. It is shared only with staff and caregivers who need it to provide services, with others you authorize, or where the law requires it.
We handle client health information in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and applicable Michigan privacy laws, to the extent those laws apply to our services. Our staff and caregivers are trained in confidentiality and are expected to protect client information at all times. Please don't send sensitive information
Our website forms are not intended for medical records, diagnoses, Social Security numbers, insurance or financial account details, or urgent medical information. Please do not include this information in your message. Website forms are a general enquiry channel and are not a secure way to send health information; once you work with us, client information is handled through our confidential client records. If more detailed information is needed to plan support, we will ask for it through an appropriate channel after we speak with you.
How long we keep information
Form submissions are stored by our hosting provider in the United States and delivered to our enquiry inbox. We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client or employee, in which case your information becomes part of records we keep for as long as required by law and our service or employment agreements. Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. We delete or anonymize information we no longer need.
How we protect information
This website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to enquiries is limited to Alivera staff who need it to respond. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
